June 16

A long-time member of an LCMS congregation in Wyoming is in need of a place to stay in Cody. Her needs are minimal, only a bedroom and access to a bathroom. She spends most of her time with her husband who is in the Long Term Care Center. She returns to her Wyoming residence occasionally to tend to matters. If you might be able to help, please see Pastor Mars for more information.

CTK normally participates in Baby Bottle Boomerang, an annual fundraising effort that supports the work of Serenity House, a pro-life organization assisting parents during pregnancy. This project usually runs Mother's Day through Father's Day. The Baby Bottles were not secured this year. If you would like to support Serenity's work, please see the display on the table in the narthex or visit their website (

CTK received recognition for her care of the United States flag by the Sons of the American Revolution. A framed certificate is on display on the table in the narthex. This is a testament to the love and care CTK's membership gives to our church property and our love for our country. May the light of Christ Jesus shining through our various vocations kept in His name bring many people to His saving Gospel.

Vacation Bible School registration is open for June 24-26 at Christ the King! Please visit the VBS page of the website for registration. Please see Pastor Mars, Cindi Kaelberer, or Breanna Vannoy for more information. "For the promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Himself” (Acts 2:39).

CTK Preschool News! CTK's school governing board and staff have elected to expand our congregation's preschool to a 5-day, all day program starting this academic year (2024-2025). This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance our congregation's mission to provide high-quality Lutheran education to our members and the broader Cody community. More details will be forthcoming. Please remember our teachers, staff, and students in your prayers as we seek to nurture these precious souls with the wholesome truth of God's Word and the wonders of His beautiful world.

CTK's school governing board is seeking to hire a teacher for the preschool. Any interested applicants should contact Stacey Grenz and/or Pr. Mars for more information. Prior experience is preferred but not required. Members of the congregation interested in the position will receive priority in consideration.
